Cadence is an awesome game: it looks pretty, the puzzles range from simple to oh-my-god-my-head-hurts challenging, and solving them creates lovely synthesized music in ways that are hard to explain until you hear it for yourself. The controls are intuitive and focus on letting you interact naturally with the game.

The unique puzzle system in Cadence makes some really interesting music, and we want to build a ways for you to harness that, with level editing tools and sharing features so you can share your own music. After all, who doesn’t want to make music simply by playing a game?

Because you shouldn’t believe us, here are some other people that think Cadence is awesome:

Alexander Bruce (Antichamber), Ron Carmel (World of Goo), Danny Baranowsky (Super Meat Boy OST, Crypt of the Necrodancer OST), Jukio Kallio (Nuclear Throne OST), Disasterpeace (Fez OST), Adriaan de Jong (Fingle, Bounden)

The best way to understand Cadence is simply to play it. You can grab a demo over on our Made With Monster Love page.

Noodlestarter is a leaner, ultra-DIY followup to our unsuccesful Cadence Kickstarter

Despite the dedicated enthusiasm of over 500 backers, the campaign didn’t reach its goal and no funds were raised. But we asked ourselves: what was the minimum we really need to carry on working on the game? The answer was noodles. Lots of noodles.

With this “food first” approach to game design, we hope to continue development - rounding out some key features that should blow minds and help us relaunch the game with a bang. But until then ...

… well, no noodles, no game. It’s a tough world out there.
